Weather, perfect. Ride, easy 18 miles. Breakfast at Caffe Latte, good service, good food. Participation, 15 49ers. And it would have been nice to have the ride proceed seamlessly! However beautiful the flowing Sacramento River and the Greenway and interesting the canals, we had 3 flat tires, one broken chain, and one discombobulated chain thereby making the ride very leisurely--stopping a bit with the many repairs. Per usual none of this dissuaded the group from having a good time, good conversation, and good laughs at the breakfast table. Later a message from Pete, he had a post ride flat tire on his ride home! Ah life!
